Is This How Its Supposed To Be?

Today, the wind blew with a fierceness that told me the seasons were changing. The vista of trees that look like broccoli rocked back and forth. They are so large that when they move, it looks like a symphony of rhythm. I know that they are our trees, even though I’ve never touched them. They are across the stream, and because the terraces are so overgrown, we have not ventured far from our little home.

One terrace, one step at a time. First. We have to get prepared for the rainy season and winter season that will be fast upon us.
Is this how it’s supposed to be? Life preparations? I feel like I am always scrambling to live. Scrambling to be prepared. And I never am. I’m always one step, one terrace, behind.
I prayed all night on my camping air mattress.
We have been looking for one to purchase with the funds we do have. One that will be used as a couch too. Everything must serve more than one purpose here. Everything must last. Because carrying everything up the hill by ourselves is hard. Is this how its supposed to be? I don’t know.
But I know this is where we are supposed to be.

When I was in Madrid years ago people used their balcony to dry their clothing. I'm guessing one could try to gather yeast too.
