Picking Battles
Today, I’m exhausted. Yesterday in Italy really took a lot out of me. I found myself walking around a grocery store mumbling to myself. Frustrated with my lack of comprehension of what was going on around me. Not being able to read labels on cleaning products got to me. Being yelled at by a clerk in a store who thought my dog laid on a rug for sale got to me. (He didn’t). Not being able to find a parking space closer than two miles from home while having to carry groceries and potatoes in my backpack made me laugh. Yeah. I pick my battles with frustration.

Now, I’m sitting here with an Italian language book, trying to study the three pages assigned to me…in Italian. All I want to do is go to sleep on my camping cot. But hey!! I got a pillow this week and no longer have to use a sweatshirt for a substitute. Winning!

Picking battles. That seems to be the game here lately at Under The Crow. And I can either give up, or try to accomplish one thing a day. And today’s one thing is going to be making my living space a little more comfy. So I’ll be cleaning and picking a flower, watering my garden and putting down a rug I bought. No. Not the one I was yelled at for. My dog picked another one.
