A continuation in the series of The Girl In The Orange Grove
The girl in the orange grove called a boy she used to know to help her move back home. Her parents said she could come back home, but that her old room had already been turned into something else. She didn’t know she felt about that. Actually, she did, and she was hurt, but she didn’t want to admit it. Now she had no boyfriend, no room, and much guilt. But she was looking forward to the spaghetti.
The boy she used to know was Nate. They had met at a little party when she was 15. But she barely remembered that meeting. But Nate sure did. And he made it his goal to win her over. First, he became friends with her brother, then started coming around the trailer a lot. Then, he would show up at her country clogging class unannounced. She had a boyfriend and wasn’t looking for another, but eventually, he won her over for a little while until she broke up with him. She wasn’t used to gifts and dinners and being treated kindly.

But kindness was his middle name. And so when she knew she needed help to move back home, she called him. And that was that. Not only did he help her move home. He moved into her heart again. She was 18 and certainly old enough to get married, she thought. They got engaged, her parents approved, her mom made her spaghetti, and since her 1978 Buick Skylark was broke down, they borrowed Granny and Pappy’s Buick for the wedding.

She was about to go back to the ornage grove again.
